Is there really money to be made on eBay?

This is one thing I am probably going to find out the hard way but at the end of the day I am going to be honest and share my ups and downs with everyone who reads this blog. First of all for those who don't know about me.I am just an ordinary Joe whose been selling stuff on eBay for about a year now. As at the time I started this blog I had about 0ver 75 positive feedback received you can click on this link to visit my eBay shop. I have also started my own website www.deelswiper.com which is also linked to my eBay shop. Let me be honest I'm not making a fortune, heck am not even making a decent living of this yet. But I am determined to make it happen! And in the process hopefully drag everyone else along with me. i have decided that if there is any money to be made in using drop shippers or selling on ebay i will find it.

how did it all start? (i discovered dropshippers by chance)
I have always been fascinated with the internet and with eBay in paticular. And believe it or not one night after a really steamy session with my wife(that's how my ideas normally pop up) I had this idea, how can I sell stuff on eBay or on a website without holding any stock since I don't have any space in my flat. So I went online and started doing some research. And I discovered dropshippers! The one I use is called The Select. They are based in the UK I will tell you more about them and also the pro's and cons of using dropshippers as we go along .

I started selling on ebay first then i discovered amazon. I was able to sell some products for my dropshipers and at a point i was selling one product almost every hour during the run up to christmas. then everything started to go wrong.

Let me share a vital piece of information i have with you.; so you dont learn it the hard way. sometimes dropshipers themselves dont own all the products they sell. why?

well, i was busy selling an item they said they had in stock on their website, iwas selling them hand over foot on amazon and on ebay after i had sold about 30 or so products i learnt that none of the stuff i was selling was in stock. i mean it would have been easy if they told me straight away but they didnt tell me until it was too late about twoo weeks later! i had to dissapoint a lot of customers, and as for my amazon shop i had to shut down because, i got so much negative feedback amazon took it upon themselves to shut me down. my Internet entrepeneur dreams were crumbling before my eyes.

now dont get me wrong the select is not that bad a drop shipper gut the profit lines can sometimes be slim. today i registerd with about 10 dropshippers am planning to expand my lines on ebay!
